This chest supports on-site crabpots & kegs, as well as harvesting bug meat (for more bait). In the sewers: chest of bait, hops, wheat, and weapons. On the beach: chest of bait, farm & mountain totems, fishing buffs, snacking mushrooms I also use this chest to temporarily store everything in my backpack so there's no chance of losing stuff if I die. In the mines: chest of weapons, shoes, life elixir, energy drink, combat & fishing buffs, bombs, snacking mushrooms, stairway, stones, beach totems. In the greenhouse (mixed use planting and slime raising): chest of seeds, fences, gates, slime, and slime eggs On the farm: chest of crafting resources between two furnaces chest of hats, old fishing poles, lures, gifts, geodes, and various buffs chest of seeds, fruit, and veg for use in and around my coop Everything else is cued for use or waiting to be processed. Crafting resources are about the only thing in long-term storage. In my current save, I decided to cut down on hoarding once I got to the late game. On the east pier at the beach: Another chest that holds bait for my saltwater crab pots. In the Secret Woods: A chest with my old fishing pole and some bait, to load the crab pots with each time I go through. In the desert: One chest at the bus stop with my bombs, extra stone, extra food for mining. I keep a third for holding monster drops, slime eggs etc. Inside the mines: All my furnaces and mining equipment are stored here. Next to Clint's shop: Geodes are dropped off after finishing in the mines, so I can have him process them the next day. Before I have the greenhouse unlocked I keep my crops and wood stuff down here as well. I also store my furniture and wallpaper catalogs in here.įarm cave: Mushroom chest, and on the next level down (a storage room, basically) my fishing chests, extra furniture chests, and the chest where I keep my grange display items. I keep all my machines in here so if I have leftover animal products, they go into the chest until I can process them. In the shed: A chest to hold anything to do with making artisan goods from animal products. In each barn: A chest with a pail in it, for my goats. Also a chest for each season's fruit that will be used for making wine and preserves, stored there when they're out of season. In my brewery: (This is a repurposed slime hutch.) One chest for whatever I'm turning into wine, and one for whatever I'm turning into jelly. Another for tree products - wood, seeds etc. Another one for seeds and my watering can, basically anything to do with gardening.

In the greenhouse: One chest for each season's crops, plus one for flowers and one for foraged items. Another pair of chests in the attic (I use a mod) for all my gems, minerals, and artifacts that I like to keep. One chest on my side of the bedroom for my stuff (tools, gifts from Seb, special items I save), one on Seb's for his gifts. In the house: One chest next to the fridge with all prepared/cooked food, saving room inside the fridge for raw ingredients. So items tend to be stored where I'd need them, around the farm or around town. lol I like keeping things super neat and tidy, following the adage "A place for everything and everything in it's place". In the early game, I'll have one by Clint's and one by Willy's to help with inventory management. One in the mines and one in the Skull Cavern for storing bombs, spelunking foods, and holding tools while I'm down there
Wine barn and jelly sheds: Just stuff to be processed Greenhouse: One for fertilizer and extra sprinklers, one for seeds, one for flower seeds (different room), and one for the small amount of processing I do in there (also in a different room) Outside the barn: Milk pail, shears, grass starter Slime hutch: Spare eggs, slime, watering can Processing shed: One for gear, one for the bulk of crafting mats, one for gems and that sort of stuff, one for stuff to be processed, one each for seasonal seeds Cellar: Just what needs to be processed Bedroom: Catalogues, odds & ends, stuff that I can't bring myself to sell for some reason Kitchen: One for foods that don't fit in the fridge (or that I don't want to use by accident), one for extra fish, one for flowers, and one with a bunch of artisan goods Next to the eastern exit: Gifts, things to be sold, geodes, quest items, CC stuff, and tree seeds that I'm going to plant in town

Next to the bin: Stuff that's waiting for favourable values to sell (due to the way the Longevity mod works) On the deck: Farming buff foods, spare fishing stuff, extra flooring tiles, seeds for floral honey, spare tree seeds, odds & ends like extra scarecrows And it depends on the farm, but on my latest-game farm.
